Who we are
AO6 Training was established in 2021 by Will Bailey, a seasoned professional with a diverse background in both military and law enforcement. Two decades ago, Will embarked on his remarkable journey in the United States Marine Corps, where he proudly served with 1st Battalion 6th Marines Alpha Company, stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC. This profound experience is reflected in the name of the organization, AO6, which is a nod to Alpha One Six. During his military career, Will undertook two significant deployments: first to Ramadi, Iraq, from 2006 to 2007, and then to Garmsir, Afghanistan, in 2008.
His unwavering passion for safeguarding individuals from harm transcended his military service, leading him to pursue a fulfilling career in law enforcement after leaving the military. Will joined an agency in Southeast Georgia, where he excelled in numerous roles across various specialized units, including criminal investigations, undercover narcotics operations, and the training division. He also spent several years with Special Weapons And Tactics, where he served as a team leader and an assistant sniper team leader.
In addition to these roles, he provided executive protection for a wide range of dignitaries, spanning from private clients to government officials. In 2020, Will made the decision to leave the police department to accept a pivotal position with the federal government, serving as a Special Agent for one of numerous protective service details. He possesses several instructor certifications in areas such as General Law Enforcement, Firearms, Less-Lethal options, and Defensive Tactics.
The founding of AO6 Training was driven by Will's desire to share his wealth of experiences and the lessons learned through both successes and mistakes in the field. At AO6, the commitment is to provide the highest quality training possible, free from unnecessary distractions and nonsensical games.
